Your Future.
Tuition-Free.

Evolve502 wants to send you to college for FREE. Our goal is to support students as they pursue the dream of a college education – whether it’s to earn a career credential, an associate degree or get started on a path to a four-year-degree.

For too long, cost has been a barrier that has made college unattainable for many of Louisville’s public school graduates. Cost – or even perceived cost – can be a barrier that feels unsurmountable.

We’re changing that today with the Evolve502 Scholarship.

The Evolve502 Scholarship is an investment in our city’s young people, allowing eligible JCPS graduates to pursue their college and career goals. We believe that by making up to two years of college tuition-free, we will transform lives and our city.

What is the Evolve502 Scholarship?

The Evolve502 Scholarship is a last-dollar scholarship program that covers a student’s college tuition after federal and state aid has been applied. The scholarship application will open Oct. 4, 2022 to eligible JCPS Class of 2023 students and may be used to earn an associate degree, workforce credential or up to 60 credit hours at any Kentucky Community and Technical College including Jefferson Community and Technical College, or Simmons College of Kentucky.

What does “last-dollar” mean?

Evolve502 is a last dollar scholarship. This means that to qualify, you must complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). After any federal and state financial aid you receive is applied to your student account, and if there is a balance, Evolve502 covers the remaining amount. Amounts awarded will vary by student, depending on what federal and state aid they receive.
