Your privacy is important to us.  This notice sets out the key elements of our “Privacy Policy” and summarizes the types of information we gather or that you may provide to us by visiting our website or otherwise, as well as our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting (which we accomplish by employing various physical, electronic and managerial safeguards) and disclosing that information.

Through our website and otherwise, as part of our educational and related activities, we gather information that may include your name, email address, postal address, phone number, and other potentially identifying information.  We also gather aggregate information (such as how users access our website), including your browser type, IP address, referring/exit page, and operating system.  Additionally, certain routine information is gathered and shared with our partners, such as information to confirm scholarship eligibility.  Our Partners may also share with us certain Personal Information of scholarship applicants for purposes such as determining eligibility and financial award information. Collectively, all of this information is referred to as “Personal Information”.  

Privacy Policies and Procedures

We have instituted a variety of safeguards to protect your Personal Information.  First, we use your Personal Information only for the purposes for which it was obtained.  This may include for the purpose of providing services to you and communicating with you and in such cases is generally only accessible internally.  In many cases, we do not collect certain Personal Information at all, or if we inadvertently receive such information, we purge it from our files.  We do not sell Personal Information to third parties and only in narrow circumstances transfer information to our partners (such as scholarship eligibility information) when and to the extent specifically needed. All Personal Information is stored on secured sites that grant access that is limited by the purpose for which it was obtained or retained. Certain information is also subject to privacy requirements under state and federal law.  Some of these constraints may be tightened or relaxed as required by law, by a third party written agreement (that typically includes contractual privacy protections), or by your written consent.  From time to time, we may revise this Privacy Policy and post any such updated policy on our website.  Note that this policy is not intended to confer a contractual or other right enforceable on any third party but to set forth the policies that we adhere to.
