The Evolve502 Emergency fund was established to assist Evolve502 Scholars who may encounter challenging events and circumstances that may hinder their success as a student. Students may receive up to $500 once per academic year with documentation and completed form.
To qualify students must:

- Be enrolled as an Evolve502 Scholar at one of our partner institutions.

- Be in good academic standing (Satisfactory Academic Progress)

- Be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours

- Be able to demonstrate his/her current financial need with supporting documentation ( I.e LG&E bill, medical bill, college or police report, etc.)

What type of expenses may be covered by the Evolve502 Emergency Aid Fund?
Types of expenses that may be covered include:
- Medications and emergency medical expenses
- Safety needs (e.g., changing a lock).
- Assistance with replacement of essential personal belongings due to fire, theft, or natural disaster.
- Travel costs related to a death or an illness in the immediate family.
- Assistance with rent, utilities, food, and other essential living expenses.
- Transportation emergencies
- Access technology needed to support learning
- Other emergency or unforeseen circumstances
What type of expenses are not covered by the Evolve502 Emergency Aid Fund?
Types of Expenses typically covered DO NOT INCLUDE:
- Tuition & fees
- Parking tickets and legal fines
- Non-essential utilities (ex. Cable, subscription services)
- Credit card bills
- Discretionary (non-essential) spending, such as entertainment, hobbies and leisure/travel-related expenses.
