Evolve502 recently expanded, adding four new student support coaches. The new coaches, part of the Scholarship and Student Success Team, will work to make sure students have the resources needed to complete their postsecondary degree or credential. The coaches will check in with students on a regular basis, ensuring that students have met academic benchmarks and connecting them with resources to aid in their success. What led you to Evolve502? What brought me to Evolve502 was my passion for working with students in a holistic way. I’m excited about the unique opportunity here to make a meaningful impact by addressing students’ needs. Evolve502’s approach of supporting the whole student to ensure that they excel academically aligns with my belief in creating an environment where they can thrive and be excited about their future.

Your job is a new position at Evolve502. What are you most looking forward to as you begin your work? I’m most looking forward to connecting with students and hearing their stories. Understanding their individual journeys will allow me to create personalized support that may compliment their academics. I’m eager to foster a welcoming community where students feel they truly belong and can rely on themselves, us, and the resources available.

What advice do you have for students who may be facing challenges during college, either with school or personal stressors? My advice would be to lean into your community and not be afraid to reach out for support. Building and relying on a network—whether through friends, mentors, or campus groups—can provide much-needed encouragement and strength. Also, make sure to prioritize your well-being. Take care of your mental and emotional health.

What’s your number one tip for success in college? My top tip for success is to identify and stay engaged in your community of support and communicate with them. College can present a lot of challenges, but you don’t have to navigate them alone.

What do you wish you had known in college that would have better prepared you for the college experience?

College can be a big step, and it’s important to give yourself grace when things don’t go perfectly. Embracing mistakes as opportunities for growth can make the experience feel less intimidating. I also wish I had realized sooner the importance of building a supportive community. Having a network of people to turn to for advice, encouragement, or just a listening ear can make all the difference.

What is one random/fun fact about you? A fun fact about me is that I enjoy creating art! I work with multiple mediums, however, the one nearest and dearest to me is Analog Collage art.
