Looking for a way to connect with community resources to support your family? Join Evolve502 and partners for our monthly Community and Family Nights throughout Louisville.
The events are hosted at 5 community organizations and two schools in Louisville. All events are free and open to the public, but registration is recommended. Each event includes a session topic presented by local organizations for adults to attend. During the sessions, children can participate in an activity hosted by an enrichment partner. Free dinner is served to all attendees.
“Our events are designed to bridge the gap between parents, community stakeholders, and the wealth of resources available in Louisville. While our city is rich in support and opportunities, too often these valuable resources don’t reach the people who need them most. We’re here to change that,” said. Dr. Charles Davis, Jr., Evolve502 Chief Comprehensive Services and Data Officer.
Evolve502 began hosting Family and Community Nights during the 2023-2024 academic year. Events were held at sites across the community monthly. Many attended as they already had a relationship with the host site through various children’s activities or other programming. During the first year, Evolve502 made over 800 community contacts through 30 events.
This year’s programming began in the fall.
“These events offer a wonderful chance for parents to connect, share experiences, and discuss challenges they may be facing, all while discovering valuable resources to overcome them. In partnership with Play Cousins Collective, we present a series of parenting support topics designed to empower parents and caregivers to better support their children, “Davis said. “Each session includes dinner and engaging child enrichment activities, ensuring kids have fun in a safe space while parents can focus fully on the discussions. Our mission is to identify and remove barriers, fostering stronger families and a more connected community.”
